Mice on Main Street

Yesterday Ann and I drove up to Greer to spend some time with girls. We headed downtown Greenville and started looking for the "Mice on Main", nine bronze mice scattered up and down main street. We used our hint sheet from the web to find them. It was a gorgeous day.  We enjoyed downtown, a little ice cream from the Marble Slab and a visit to O.P. Taylor. Here are some of the pictures.

The Inaguration

pic from CNN.com

Today we got to watch history.

It was nice having the district cancel school today so I could watch the inauguration without distraction. I was able to watch on TV, while at the same time participating on the CNN/Facebook event. It was neat watching the responses of people as they watched the event. Both positive and negative responses, but for the most part people seemed hopeful for the future. I know I sure wouldn't want the job that lays ahead for Obama.
